Community Outreach
The California Oncology Research Institute is committed to reaching out to medically-underserved communities, where there is often a lack of high-quality cancer care. In lower-income areas, many people with cancer do not see an oncologist until it is too late for effective treatment. The members of CORI are striving to change this. Collaborating with various organizations, such as the NAACP and the Cancer Support Community, CORI is hosting a series of free educational events in Los Angeles's inner-city. The doctors of CORI believe that information about cancer, cancer prevention and cancer treatment should be readily-available and easily-accessed by everyone. For more details on the specific events, click on the links below. To receive more information about upcoming events, please visit CORI's Facebook page, follow us on Twitter, and feel free to contact the office.
